We don't just play 60's Music, WE LIVED IT!
THE ESQUIRES’ music represents the sixties RHYTHM and BLUES era with a repertoire of songs recorded by such R&B greats as James Brown, Wilson Picket, Otis Reading, Aretha Franklin, The Four Tops, The Temptations, and many others. Formed in the 60’s, their down-to-earth funky R&B sound reflects the individual members’ love for this style of music.
They have performed internationally and locally with many of the 60 era R&B greats. Charleston, WV is home to this ageless musical group who are still performing at Fairs, Festivals, Fund Raisers, Corporate, and Private Events in surrounding cities and states.
The current accompaniment of instruments consists of a lead guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, drums, trumpet, trombone, and saxophone. The band features one female and two male lead vocalists that provide audiences with a variety of vocal styles. Combined with the addition of their four-background musician/vocalist, the band can produce a “Rich and Gutsy” R&B sound.
